Aims and Objectives
Aims and activities of the Public Foundation for Homeless people
The aim of the Public Foundation for the Homeless is to alleviate the problems of those Hungarian citizens that do not have a home or other housing solutions and to provide support to agencies working with homeless and providing them with social care.
The support can be granted by:
ˇ for the establishment and upkeep of organisations that provide accommodation
and social care services to homeless people such as night shelters, temporary
shelters, etc.
ˇ for the implementation of vocational programmes, pilot projects, personalised
support aiming at their re-integration in society
ˇ for the organisation of various services for homeless people such as Social
Information Services, Soup kitchens, street outreach service network and other
projects
Activities of the Public Foundation
ˇ Running of centres and services responsible for the provision
of health and social care services
ˇ Running of rehabilitation centres and provision of employment services for
those not living in these centres
ˇ Promotion and organisation of national and international debates and exchange
of information and support and organisation of exchanges, preparation and
distribution of specialised publications
ˇ Organization of training for those working in the care services in the social
sector
ˇ Organisation, launching and operation of pilot projects for the social integration
of homeless people, with a special focus on housing solutions
ˇ Participation in the preparation, co-ordination and monitoring of vocational
programmes, calls for proposals aiming at the improvement of homelessness
service provision
ˇ Organization and co-ordination of employment programmes for people experiencing
multiple disadvantages in the labour market specially for the those who are
homeless
ˇ Exploration of EU funding opportunities, preparation and coordination of
national and international as well as for the auditing and monitoring of their
allocation/application
ˇ Fulfilment of the task of national methodology centres for the provision
of services to homeless people providing help for the development of regional
methodology centres also in the fulfilment of their responsibilities, co-ordination
of their methodological activity
